This publication provides an overview of what successive Australian governments have done since 9/11 to counter the threat posed by Salafi-jihadis to the maintenance of international peace and security, to regional security, and to domestic security. It also incorporates suggestions on how to move forward in addressing the evolving threat posed by Salafi-jihadi terrorism, including how to 1) counter Salafi-jihadi ideology, 2) curb online extremism; 3) invest in communities to help prevent radicalization, and more.
