This paper provides an analytical framework that assesses the systematic and defendable readiness of armed forces. The sad fact is that while policymakers generally agree on the importance of maintaining military readiness, they frequently fail to recognize the underlying complexities and technical challenges of accomplishing this task. In response, this text offers a comprehensive way to analyze the ‘supply and demand’ of ready forces in order to facilitate their efficient management in the future.
