This paper summarizes the proceedings of a February 2008 conference on ways to stop terrorist financing. It features a short summary of the talks given at the conference. The paper concludes that a global effort, comprising international organizations, national governments and the private sector, is needed to deny terrorist and criminal groups the opportunity to raise and transmit funds for their activities.
