The articles in this issue of CTTA focus on 1) the ongoing attempts by Philippine security forces to isolate and eliminate the threat posed by the so-called Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in Marawi City; 2) the significance of Megat Shadhan Abdul Samad’s appearance as a Singaporean foreign fighter in an IS propaganda video; 3) radicalization in Indonesia’s Nusa Kambangan prisons; and 4) the common uses and understanding of the concept of radicalization as well as its policy implications.
