This paper takes stock of global nuclear inventories, offering in-depth country profiles on each of the nine nuclearized states. While global nuclear weapon inventories have shrunk from a peak of nearly 70,000 warheads in the mid-1980s to 14,935 today, the authors suggest that the pace of reductions is slowing and all current members of the nuclear club are modernizing their arsenals.
