Publication

This report discusses the methodological and conceptual tools developed for the study of Central Asia. It draws attention to the consequence of the Russian "subset" status allotted to Central Asian studies and looks at religious aspects of it. The author concludes that achievements of major breakthroughs with respect to this topic increase only when theoretical approaches are supported by solid thinking about methodology.
