This publication offers a comprehensive overview of perceptions of nuclear security risks in the wider Black Sea region. More specifically, the text’s authors examine 1) the evolution of the nuclear security regime in Ukraine since 2014; 2) nuclear security threats posed by contested spaces, where regulations are impossible to implement and where it is difficult to maintain awareness of the changing conditions on the ground; 3) how the international community’s nuclear security assistance in the region has evolved; and more.
