This paper examines the difficulties and political complexities associated with providing humanitarian aid in political conflict areas. The paper provides several examples and analyzes the dynamics of interaction between the local political environment and foreign aid organizations in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
