This conference report provides a summary of the discussions held at the workshop on EU peace operations at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy in September 2003. The aim of the workshop was to analyze the nature and structure of the EU peacekeeping missions in Bosnia, Macedonia and the Congo, and to discuss those missions within the context of the European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP).
