This paper traces the evolving strategic relationship between India and Japan in the 21st century. The text’s authors specifically examine 1) the key factors that have shaped the two countries’ interactions in recent history; 2) their economic, diplomatic and security ties; and 3) why the India-Japan relationship is important for the Asia-Pacific region and US strategy.
