This paper looks at the imminent Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will feature the proliferation of advanced technologies that focus on artificial intelligence, 3D printing, gene editing, autonomous vehicles (AVs) and more. However, the text’s author cautions that this revolution may also aggravate existing income inequality and increase cyber-security threats. Given these dangers, he concludes that upholding the centrality of the state is of paramount importance in ensuring future continuity and stability.
