This text synopsizes the results of an early 2017 RSIS workshop on past, current and future ways in which organizations and individuals might use technology in humanitarian environments, particularly in the Asia-Pacific Region. The topics covered include 1) the potential role of humanitarian robots; 2) delivering TB diagnoses via UAVs; 3) the benefits of hazard assessment technologies; 4) the usefulness of big data for humanitarian action, and more.
