This brief reviews the changing majorities in India's lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, as well as related implications. It summarizes the changes prompted the government's loss of its majority, comments on subsequent negotiations and identifies a clash over a nuclear deal with the US as the trigger of the crisis.
