The articles specifically zeros in on 1) Russia’s compatriot policy (Russkiy Mir), which is a soft-power tool that Moscow is using to target Estonia’s Russophone population; 2) Turkey’s (i.e., the AKP’s) policy towards Kurdish language rights during the period from November 2002 to June 2015; and 3) Italy’s multi-level protection regime, which seeks to protect the rights of the country’s linguistic minorities. The issue additionally features a book review that focuses on the practices of Roma classification.
