Given the possibility that the Trump administration may soon tilt the US into a new period of isolationism, this paper analyzes how South Asian states should prepare themselves for potential shifts in the international order. The states should, for example, ignore conflicts that are peripheral to their interests and focus on fostering cooperation, progress, and development within their own region.
