This publication includes six interviews conducted at the Oslo Forum with eminent mediators, thinkers and peace process actors on the ups and downs of peacemaking and the issues that matter to them. The topics covered in the interviews include 1) how the peacemaking field has tried to adapt to the changing nature of conflict; 2) the participation of armed resistance groups in the Northern Ireland and South Sudan peace processes; 3) the impact of recent international legal developments on peace-centered practices; 4) the perspectives of the next generation of peacemakers on the field; and 5) how to preserve peacemaking spaces.
