This paper examines the Islamic activism of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan. It points out that the group's moderation in domestic politics has been accompanied by a growing radicalization with respect to foreign policy issues. In addition, Jordan has been a leading center for Salafi intellectual output for decades. The author warns that jihadi ideas have found favor with certain sectors of society in the country. US military intervention in Iraq and, in particular, the figure of Abu Musaf al-Zarqawi have resulted in Jordan becoming a favorite al-Qaida target.
