This brief discusses the implications of Pakistan's decision to reduce trade and investment barriers directed against India. It reviews Pakistan's trade policy as well as the India-specific measures, discusses the economic and political implications and comments on India's reactions. The author finds that dialogue, economic cooperation and a gradual increase in people-to-people contact point to a bright and prosperous future for the region.
