This report presents the final findings of the Steering Committee Project on Eliminating Weapons of Mass Destruction launched by the Henry L Stimson Center. The authors welcome near-term efforts to reduce nuclear dangers as well as steps to reduce national arsenals. The report intends to provide impetus for debate, calls upon the US to lead an international campaign and encourages reflection about the ultimate objective of US nuclear policy.
