This collection of essays presents the perspectives of Chinese authors on the use of confidence-building measures (CBMs) in Asian security relations. The compendium argues a Chinese perspective is particularly salient when considering the dynamism and rapid ascendancy of Asia and China in particular. The essays discuss the use of CBMs in Asia, their future prospects, and the role of CBMs in ameliorating Sino-Japanese relations.
