This paper looks at Sri Lanka's terrorist group, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), and the role India played in the conflict. It describes the involvement of Tamil politicians from India's province Tamil Nadu, examines the suffering related with the Sri Lankan government's campaign against the LTTE and identifies repercussions on Tamil Nadu politics. Furthermore, the paper points to India's limited leverage in the conflict.
