This paper examines the implications expected from the incoming US administration under President-elect Barack Obama for US-India relations. It looks at Obama's statements on US-India relations and looks at common interest in the fields of the economy, terrorism and nuclear issues. The paper argues that a visit by Obama to India during his first term in office would ensure that the momentum gained in the bilateral relationship is sustained.
