This article discusses the attention the Mumbai terrorist attacks received in social media, which represents, according to the author, a paradigm shift in the way citizen journalism and mainstream media interact with each other. The author concludes that both mainstream and social media have to adapt to each other to establish a workable model of interaction by which news can be reported – especially in times of crisis.
