Publication

This conference report summarizes the topics discussed at the Asia-Pacific Programme for Senior Military Officers (APPSMO). The conference addressed new dimensions in international security, the media involvement in international conflict, the rise of private military companies as well as the role of cultural knowledge in military operations. Other topics addressed by this report are maritime security, Asia-Pacific security and violence in Southeast Asia.
