This paper reviews today’s global security and its vulnerability to terror attacks, which continue to exploit the failure of intelligence agencies to share sufficient information with each other. The reasons for the latter problem include poisonous inter-agency relations, information protectionism, and prioritizing self-interest above other concerns. The solutions to these problems, which include networking together and sharing intelligence – are obvious but easier said than done.
