This publication summarizes the outcomes of workshops attended by US and European business leaders, financial experts and academics in preparation for the London Summit of G20 leaders on 2 April 2009. It explores the differences between the US and European approach to generate ideas on how to best overcome the financial crisis in a joint effort. Specific topics addressed include financial regulation and transparency, the reform of international financial institutions as well as the risks of financial protectionism.
