This paper asks whether or not nations should regard state-sponsored disinformation campaigns as a core security issue, on a par with cyber and terrorist threats. The author also looks at how Singapore can secure itself against social media manipulation and other disinformation tools as well as who should be responsible to shore up the nation’s resilience against them.
