The authors of this piece try to dispel some of the myths and misunderstandings they believe surround the DPRK. They specifically argue that 1) Kim Jong Un is not irrational and that the North Korean regime is not about to collapse; 2) the country’s ballistic missile tests are not a provocation, but rather part of its ongoing nuclear program; and 3) Chinese diplomacy, the use of force, applying sanctions and even ‘waiting and seeing’ will not solve the North Korea problem.
