This e-note critically analyzes Jared Kushner’s seemingly herculean task (and hope) to modernize the US government’s IT and cybersecurity infrastructure. After looking at the Obama administration’s uphill battle to implement cybersecurity reforms during its tenure, the text’s author concludes that the government’s pervasive reliance on outdated technology will seriously impede Kushner’s modernization efforts.
