This paper highlights the growing “Europeanization” of French policies towards Russia in the wake of the Ukraine crisis. In particular, the text’s author explores 1) France’s Russia policy before the crisis; 2) the domestic factors that shape the current policy; 3) what is “European” about it; and 4) the status of the Minsk process and the ongoing sanctions debate.
