This paper examines the global implications of Donald Trump’s recent and divisive election victory in the US. The problem is that divisive figures such as Trump are helping erode America’s international dominance and contributing to its relative economic and social decline. In response, the US has no choice but to try and put its domestic house in order, or so this paper argues.
