This commentary explores the implications of the new US Trade Policy Agenda for its trading partners. While current fears of looming trade wars and the downfall of multilateralism remain unfounded, they do provide an opportunity for the EU to consolidate its economic and political position through closer cooperation with Latin American and Asian countries, or so argues this text.
