What will it take to facilitate the return of South Sudanese who fled their region’s/country’s violence over the years? This brief recommends 1) implementing programs that focus on the long-term self-sufficiency of returnees; 2) promoting the wellbeing of young people by providing local economic development, jobs, and higher education; 3) involving local communities in income diversification activities; and 4) promoting information sharing through different “dialogue platforms.”
