This paper analyzes the implications of a January 2017 visit between Oman’s Chairman of the Council of State (Upper House), Dr Yahya bin Mahfoodh Salim Al-Manthri, with Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. The text also reviews the historically close relationship between Pakistan and Oman, and how it has benefited the entire Gulf region.
