The articles in this edition of the CTTA focus on 1) debunking the so-called Islamic State’s (IS) assertions about the legitimacy of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s caliphate; 2) how IS has shaped its ideological foundation with a distorted interpretation of Islam and radicalized its recruits in the process; 3) the radicalization of university campuses in Pakistan; and 4) the resurgence of violent extremism and far-right radicalism in Australia.
