The articles in this SSQ issue focus on 1) what the US’ self-imposed constraints on nuclear force modernization mean for the country’s nuclear deterrent; 2) how China poses a challenge to the US-led international order through multilateral institutions; 3) how social media functions as a tool of information warfare; 4) how the US can employ offensive cyber weapons as a deterrent without undermining the country’s ability to conduct covert cyber operations; 5) the problems neoliberalism poses to public sector-led projects; and 6) why the US must critically reassess its nuclear triad. The journal also includes an interview with Paul Scharre, Director of CNAS’ Technology and National Security Program.
