This paper 1) traces the spread of the Zika Virus to over 70 countries and territories worldwide, and 2) stresses that Southeast Asia needs a more proactive, cooperative approach to deal with the disease, particularly in order to establish and maintain appropriate surveillance and control mechanisms.
