The Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW) is a public and independent research institution that analyzes sociopolitical and economic processes in the Baltic, the Vysegrad and Balkan states, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, and Turkey. The OSW also carries out research projects that focus on security, the integration of energy markets, and migration and social integration in Germany, Central Europe, the Balkans, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Baltic and the Black Sea region.
