The Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC) is an independent, non-profit organization that focuses its research activities on a variety of peace and conflict-related subjects. In doing so, the Center takes a flexible and broad view of the term 'conversion', which it defines as "the reduction and transformation of military stockpiles, capacities and processes in order to serve more productive ends."
