According to this Alert, Latin American countries account for nearly 9.5% of global Greenhouse Gas emissions, which ultimately jeopardize their economic, energy, and climate security. In response, the countries need to invest in low carbon development and hone renewable energy strategies, particularly in the cases of Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Uruguay.
