The paper examines Nigeria’s foreign policy from 2000 to 2011. It focuses largely on the country’s relations with traditional global powers such as the US, Britain, France and Russia; and emerging global powers such as China, India and Brazil. It considers the present situation and possible future directions for each of these relations, especially regarding trade and commercial relations, diplomatic contacts and military links.
