The policy brief discusses Sino-Pakistani nuclear cooperation. It argues that overseas media and academia often exaggerate facts on China-Pakistan nuclear cooperation which puts relations under pressure. The author suggests that after Pakistan became the de facto nuclear power, its nonproliferation policy has changed, with positive effects on nonproliferation in the region. The author argues that the external environment for China-Pakistan nuclear cooperation will improve and that benign interaction between China and Pakistan will help enhance bilateral nuclear relations and nuclear relations of the whole Asian region.
