This paper examines the link between climate change and conflict in the Zambezi basin in Africa. The author argues that climate change can act as a ‘threat multiplier’ and conflict source by interacting with other societal dynamics, and concludes that understanding the nexus between climate change, natural resource management and conflict is therefore crucial for preventing and solving future conflicts in the region.
