This brief examines Europe’s stake in and position on a final deal on Iran’s nuclear program. The author argues that even though there is a broad consensus that such a deal would be in Europe’s best interest, domestic opposition in both Tehran and Washington could derail a comprehensive agreement. She presents four scenarios for the trajectory of the negotiations and outlines how Europe should react to each of them.
