This paper explores the interactions between Southern Africa’s dryland forests and water, energy and food security in the region in the context of climate change. After presenting an overview of Southern Africa’s dryland forests, the author shows how an integrated approach using the water-energy-food security nexus can help in the governance of the region's dryland forests. Finally, she considers the role of dryland forests in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
