This commentary looks at how the EU uses its Common Security and Defence Policy (CDSP)to cooperate with the US in crisis management, particularly in Africa. The authors point towards a growing alignment in the pursuit of shared strategic goals and understanding, operational complementarity, and the development of joint approaches to security between the EU and US.
