This paper discusses some of the challenges facing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) ahead of the Review Conference (RevCon) of the NPT, which will be held in New York on April 27th, 2015. The author contends that the European Union is uniquely positioned to bridge the NPT’s main divides, by employing the lessons learned from its own internal diversity, particularly in relation to the controversial issues in the area of the Common Security and Defense Policy.
