This Issue Alert describes the “wicked nature” of the climate change problem and complains that our collective efforts to cut back on greenhouse gas emissions have been too slow, uneven and politically divisive. However, the text’s authors also credit diplomats and negotiators for introducing a series of problem-solving elements that have actually changed climate diplomacy for the better.
