In 2010, ODI and SAIIA recommended a number of ways for the G-20 to further African development. This paper revisits that effort and looks at the progress that’s been made in specific areas, including infrastructure development, regional integration, participation in the global trading system, and attracting foreign direct investment. Unsurprisingly, the text’s author concludes that the G-20 has embraced some of the ODI-SAIIA recommendations but there is still much work to be done.
