This Alert considers whether the health crisis management structures that currently exist around the world are both ready and able to cope with the Zika outbreak. The text's author is particularly interested in 1) Latin America's health crisis management capabilities; 2) the social problems the outbreak might pose for the region; and 3) the state of health crisis management in Europe.
